Sizing guides

Getting the right fit is half of staying safe underwater. Here is how we recommend you size each gear category — and what to do when you are unsure.

Wetsuits

A wetsuit needs to fit snugly without restricting breathing or shoulder rotation. Too loose and water flushes through, killing thermal protection; too tight and you cannot draw a full breath at depth. Each brand uses its own size chart — when in doubt, size up rather than down.

  • Measure chest, waist, and hip with a soft tape, no clothes.
  • Cross-reference the brand-specific chart on the PDP — there is no universal size.
  • If your measurements straddle two sizes, choose the size that matches your chest.
  • Tall divers: check the brand "tall" cut even if your weight is mid-range.

Drysuits

Drysuits are more forgiving on body shape but unforgiving on seal fit. The neck and wrist seals must be tight enough to keep water out but not so tight that they restrict blood flow.

  • Measure neck circumference at the Adam’s apple.
  • Measure each wrist at the base of the palm.
  • Pick the size where neck + wrist seals are within tolerance — the body cut is secondary on a drysuit.
  • Cold-water tip: leave room for an undersuit. The chart usually accounts for one base layer; add one size if you plan to stack thermals.

Fins

Full-foot fins should fit like a tight shoe — no slip at the heel, no pressure on the toes. Open-heel fins should fit with a 5 mm neoprene boot on; size the boot first, then size the fin.

  • Buy fins late in the day — feet swell by ~5%.
  • For full-foot: order your shoe size, then go up if the toe-box is narrow.
  • For open-heel: try the fin with the boot you actually plan to dive.

Masks

A mask fits when it seals on your face without the strap holding it on. Place the mask on (no strap), inhale gently through the nose, and let go — it should stay. If it falls, the skirt does not match your face shape; try a different model.

  • High nose-bridge faces: pick low-volume frames with a soft silicone skirt.
  • Wide cheekbones: try the "wide" cut or a frameless mask.
  • Beard / moustache: a moustache will break the seal. Trim, or pick a mask with a sculpted upper-lip channel.

Our support team has working PADI / SSI instructors on it — message us with your measurements and the gear you are considering, and we will give you a real recommendation. We would rather you return one item than dive uncomfortably.
