ScubaTech
Instructor checking a student's mask before a dive

Built by divers, for divers.

ScubaTech is a US-based, independent shop for pressure-tested, instructor-grade scuba equipment — founded by working PADI and SSI instructors.

Why we started ScubaTech

The diving industry has a problem. Big-box retailers sell whatever moves fastest; boutique shops carry a single brand and call it curation. Neither approach respects the diver standing on the rental dock, trying to decide whether a $200 BCD will keep them safe at 30 meters.

We built ScubaTech because we kept watching our students show up with the wrong gear, sold by people who had never been on a real dive. Every product we list has been through a season of instructor use — and the catalog is reviewed quarterly, so stale recommendations get cut, not just buried.

We are not the cheapest option, and we are not trying to be. We are the shop we wished existed when we were learning, and we plan to be here for the long dive.

What we believe

Three things we won't compromise on.

Authentic gear

Every SKU is sourced from authorized distributors or the manufacturer direct. No grey-market imports. No relabelled OEM. If a brand stands behind the warranty, you get the warranty.

Diver-led curation

The catalog is shaped by working instructors and active divemasters. If a product does not survive a season of real ocean use, it does not stay on the shelf.

Ocean-first business

A portion of every order funds reef restoration and underwater clean-up partners. We dive these waters too — keeping them alive is the long-term plan.
